The metal. And everything added.
Calculator
Estimate metal content from its weight and purity.
Fine-metal weight—
A calculation, not a shop quote. Fees and taxes are optional; no official rate is assumed.
Karat ratios are nominal (karat ÷ 24). Actual stamped product fineness can differ.
Common questions
Are these local jewellery-shop prices?+
These are reference values converted from a global data provider’s indicative dealer quotes. Local premiums, making charges and taxes are excluded. Ask your seller for an itemised quote.
What do ask and bid mean here?+
They reflect Standard Bullion’s reference ask and bid after currency and nominal-purity conversion. Local shops may use different prices and spreads.
Do prices really update?+
The page checks its server cache every minute. The server requests metals every minute, and FX less often because it is daily. Source timestamps remain unchanged when an update fails.
Why can another website show a different number?+
Providers, update times, FX rates, purity and bid/ask basis can differ. Local retail premiums can also create a difference from a global reference.
How do you calculate a gram and its karat?+
Divide the troy-ounce price by 31.1034768, then multiply by karat ÷ 24 and the exchange rate. The calculator lets you change the weight and purity.
Will alerts arrive after I close the page?+
No. Alerts appear while the page is open, with settings saved only in this browser. They do not send messages or run in the background.
